I've just read about the November Rhea roll call in among about 500
messages collected in my in-box while I was in Portland, OR for two
weeks. I was out there to try to find out what was wrong with my son
John. On Nov. 20 I brought him to the medical center here and the
diagnosis was confirmed: My handsome, 6-foot, 200-pound, once healthy
son has multiple sclerosis. Please remember him in your prayers.

I have two Rhea lines: James Rhea who lived in Rockbridge Co., VA and
married Mary Paul, daughter of John Paul and Mary Baxter. James died in
Blount Co., TN after 1812. His son was Jesse Rhea, who married Margaret
Blair, daughter of John Blair.

We've wondered for years whether our James and Jesse Rhea are connected
to my other Rhea line, who were also from Virginia and settled in Blount
Co, TN, but have been unable to establish a connection:

Robert "Bobbie" Rhea, Jr. married Mary Stephens, daughter of Col. (or
Maj.) Jehu Stephens. Robert Rhea's father, Robert Rhea, Sr., married
Sarah Bingham. Robert Rhea, Sr. was the son of Archibald Rhea. Their
lineage is well known to the List.
