Hi:

Was very happy to get your info. I think we are probably distant cousins
but can't be sure. I have been researching my Rhea/Burton line for quite a
while. I still am unsure of my ggg grandmothers parents but will give the
known info and look forward to hearing from you. (Norma Knight Blanton
compiled a Book of the Burtons)

Squire Burton Born Va abt 1790... Married Rebecca Rhea in Rhea co Tn July
31, 1822. They lived in Rhea co for the 1830 Census then they were in
Hardin co Tn
by 1840 thru 1860 then moved to Clark co Ar. They had ten children.

I will list all the children even though they are BURTONS because of the
similarity of names.

Robert born 1823 Mar Lucretia
Delilah born 1827 Married a Harrison
John 1828 Mar Barbara Granville Hazel (My gg Grandfather) he died in
Sebastian co and buried Old Union.
Sarah 1831 Mar Wright
Sterling 1832 Maried Lillie A
Charles 1834
Squire 1836
Henrietta 1838
Royal "rile" 1840
W Willshire 1842

Some of the same names are repeated with my gg grandfathers 15 children.
On the 1830 census in Rhea co within 3 households of rebecca and Squire
there is a Henrietta Rhea listed, I am wondering if this could be Rebecca's
mother. I think It could have been an aunt or sister in law but now sure.

I think Rebecca's father was probably Robert hugh Rhea from Rockingham VA.
would appreciate any RHEA names you may have from the Tn area. I collect all
the
info I happen to run across so may have a connection.

I will be leaving town for 2+ months on Sat Sept 25th. I am going to my
daughters in Md. I plan another trip to the Library of Congress reading room
so like to go prepared with namess. Send me what you have and will take with
me.
