Pat thanks so much for this posting. I found many names both in my Rhea/Ray line
and my Moore, Cunningham, and Redwine.
On thing that I found very interesting was the various spellings of Rhea,
especially the spelling of Reah found page 292 which is an assignment of land
from John to Robert Reah. This spelling "Reah" was a spelling of a name on the
Spanish fort at Knoxville, that was post several months back.
Also in the book The Melungeons by Eloy Gallegos, the name Rhea-various
spelling is used many times for places in for example on p.87, "several Spanish
named backwoods places, i.e. Bilboa, Castilla, Liberia, Rhea,Galatia ...." I'd
like to know where all these places are located. He does describe some. Is this
not a significant connection??? What do you think? Dr. Bob!
