Hi Marie,
I will give you my line in brief. Then I will put a URL that you may not
have seen. I have a little problem with the Will. I recently stopped in
McMinnville, Warren Co., Tn. to find the Will, NO WILL around that date. I
went to the old Court House, they sent me to the new Court House & let me
see an index of the Wills that exists & sent me to the McMinnville Library.
NOTHING!!
Louise Cooper married William S. Haase
Lereal Perkins Cooper (my father) married Alta Rhea Swindle (my mother)
Marcus Talmadge Cylvester Swindle (my grfather) M. Almedia Ann Richards (my
g.m.)
Emma Littlepage Rhea (my g.grmother) married W. H. Swindle (my g.grfather)
Elizabeth Emma Littlepage (my g.g.grdmother) married Obediah Rhea (my
g.g.grdfather)
Thomas Powhatan Littlepage (my g.g.g.grdfather) M. Sarah Hurt (my
g.g.g.grdmom)
(I won't go on because the Rhea's are what we are talking about.

The man, Mr. Floyd Barnhill, who gave George Rowland this information from
the Rhea family states that Moses made his Will, not that it was probated.
I have suspected for a number of years that Moses Rhea was the father of
Obediah Rhea, my g.g. grandfather. Obediah and Elizabeth named their first
son John Rhea and their second son Moses Bolling Rhea. I only recently
found out the name of the wife of John Rhea (the Bapt. Minister) being Mary
(Polly) Bolon or Bolling (like Moses Bolling Rhea). I have another Bolling
in this line and they spell it Bolon in the Census, but believe it to be
Bolling also. This is Thomas Powhatan Littlepage's sister who married in
Va. (all the Littlepages prior to him as well as Thomas were in Va.) a
Michael Bolon/Bolling. I don't know if Moses Rhea (that wrote a Will in
1830) is the brother of John Rhea the minister, or his son. The date of
birth I have for John Rhea (min.) is about 1739 & the birth date I have for
Moses is abt. 1767-1770, if correct, father & son.
I am probably making a "mountain out of a molehill" with this Will, because
I found information on the"net" that says, "The Warren County's original
bounds encompassed a significantly greater area than its current bounds.
The Surveyors Districts records were not affected by county line changes of
Warren Co. in any way. As a word of caution, however, you will find
records marked Warren Co. that today would fall into DeKalb, Cannon,
Coffee, Grundy, Sequatchie, & Van Buren Counties", & even White Co. Needs
more looking into.
I hope I am not scaring you away with all of this, because you live in Tn.
& I don't and we can help each other with these Rhea's. I live in Ga., but
go through Tn. to Ar. as my sister still lives in Little Rock where my
husband & I grew up. I know that it could be very easy to mix these Rhea's
up because another group is in Tn. & I don't know if there is a connection.
Let me know what you think.
Louise
