Here is a listing of residents of Milford Township, then Bedford County, PA
in 1788 and 1790. The (88) after certain names means that this person was
residing in the county during both the 1788 Tax Assessment and the first
census of 1790.

Also, spelling variations are normal - if you see a name that SOUNDSlike
yours - check it out! It may be your ancestor - most did not know how to
spell their names and did so phonetically - the census takers were not
educated either and also spelled the names liked they sounded to them!
