LOOKING FOR DESCENDANTS OF THE ORIGINAL SETTLERS
WHO WERE KNOWN TO BE LIVING OR OWNING LAND IN
GENESEE COUNTY, NY BY THE END OF THE YEAR 1802

The county of Genesee was formed by the New York state legislature in the
year 1802 and will be celebrating its Bicentennial in the year 2002. Sue
Concklin, Genesee County Historian assigned the task of find descendants of
the original settlers to the Genesee Area Genealogists. We are hoping that
those of you who subscribe to the RootsWeb Genesee County line will
recognize some of the following names on this list and contact any of the
following people with that information.

The first list consists of approximately 100 names for which we have no
descendant information. The second list consists of those for whom we do
have some information, but would like more. Thanks in advance for any
