Don,
My grandfather was Robert Wiley Ray and he lived most of his life and
died in Jefferson County Al that's north of where you are searching. Your
John Ray is interesting as My Great grandfather was John Ray/Rhea/Reah. and
he married a Harriet Redwine.
I haven't been able to find anything more, but I may have made a break
through on the Redwine side today. I'll know in a few days. Are you aware of
the Frebras Kids list which is made up descendants of Jhon Rhea by what ever
spelling. This list is small but very active. If your not on it you might
wish to give them a holler. I hope some of this helps. Dr. Bob!
