Hi Randy,
Good to hear from you. I've only found two James Reas in Henry county, and
they are James Sr., the father of your Wm. Collings; and James Jr., brother
to Wm. C.
Elizabeth could well be daughter of James Jr., I don't know much about her.
James Jr is the one that I read moved to Wilkes Co., NC (Then called James
RAY). You might be interested to know that the person I'm trying to link to
this James Jr. is named William C.(Collings???)Ray. He was born in NC ca
1800, and moved to Elbert Co. Georgia around the 1820s. Two others who I
believe to be sons of James Jr. also came to Georgia (Thomas J.Ray & Peter
Ray).
If you'd like to see more on this William C. Ray, check out our web page:

We're still working on it, so there are a couple of dead links...
I'd be interested in learning more about your line of Rays from William
Collings Ray. Were any of them blacksmiths? (Both James Ray,Jr. and William
C. Ray were) Have you found any connections to the DULA family?
Thanks again, Hope to hear from you.
