I am not 100% certain but am also checking this James Rea of Henry Co.,
VA., as the likely parent of my John Rea/Ray who died in Warren Co., TN.
This John also likely lived in Patrick Co., VA., and maybe Grainger Co.,
TN., and some say North Carolina but I have not located him in NC as yet.
This John Rea married a lady named Polly (Mary) Bolon (which could be a
misspelling for Bolling/Bowling.

This is what I have for this James Rae, scant as it is:

I have been in touch with people who descend from James' children,
William Collings and Elizabeth who married a Cooper. I have no data for
your James so perhaps he is your ancestor.

>From John E. Nettles, 20 Jan 1998. I descend through Elizabeth
Rea/Thomas T. Cooper's daughter Johanna. (We NOW know where that name
came from don't we ? Why her Grandmama - of course. I have only learned
about my Rea connection this fall. I was searching the Perry line (my
empty g-granddad Jesse Perry married Johanna Cooper and moved to the "Old
Pendleton District" now Pickens and Anderson County, S.C.
