Greetings Rea/Rhea/Ray Researchers,

Is anyone researching the James Rea who married Elizabeth "Betsy" Dula
(Dooly)
1788 in Henry County, Virginia ???
Information I received today states that they moved to Wilkes County, NC.
also, "James was a blacksmith, and he lived on one of Captain Dula's
plantation".
I'm uncertain about the children of James and Betsy, but they could have
been:
Peter, William, John, Thomas, Elizabeth, & Mary

James Ray is found in the 1800 census of Wilkes Co, NC
pg.59 ; males 2-2-0-1-0 females 2-0-0-1-0

There is also a James Ray in 1810 census (Wilkes) pg 892.

And again in 1820 (Wilkes): pg.23 & 63

Now for the questions (You knew they were coming...)

Is this James the son of the James Rea who made a will in Henry Co., VA
dated November 1788 ???
The will lists wife, Johanna , and children : William Collings Rea, John
Rea, and James Rea...

There's also a James Rea listed in Virginia taxpayers list (1782-1787):
Henry County, 1 poll, no slaves.

I'd be interested in corresponding with any researchers in this line. I'm
trying to prove a link to it myself...

Thanks!!!
