For the marriage of Robert Rhea to Elizabeth rhea, I have copies of the
original bond, the certification of the bride's age by her mother, and
the minister's return.

The Bond, not quoted in its entirety: "Know all men by these presents
that we Robert Rhea and William Rhea are held and firmly bound unto his
Excellency the Governor of Kentucky...we bind ourselves our heirs...by
these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 25th day of December
1798. The Condition is such that whereas a Marriage is shortly intended
between Robt Rhea and Eliza. Rhea...[signed] Robert Rhea & William Rhea,
Test. James Allen"

Certification of age by the bride's mother: "Green County. Sir you will
please to issue Mariage License for my Daughter Elizabeth Rhea & Robert
Rhea. I also certify that my Daughter is over the Age of 21 years.
Given under my hand this 24th Day of December 1798. [signed} Elizabeth
Rhea.
[Test.] James Rhea Thomas Rhea. James Allen Clk."

Minister's return: "The following Marriages were Celebrated by the
Subscriber Robt. Rhea to Elizabeth Rhea..[four others follow] John
Howe."
John Howe was a Presbyterian minister. The date of the marriage is not
recorded. This was on page 32 of Green County, KY, Marriage Book A.
The other two documents were loose papers.
