I have just begun research on my father's family. My father's name was
Lysle Edward Rhea, born Bristol, TN or VA 05-01-1906, died Panama City,
FL 06-21-1971, married Geraldine Ora Cullin 07-21-1930 in Apalachicola,
FL. His father was Josiah Edward Rhea, born 01-10-1875, probably in TN,
died ? in Panama City, FL, married Nancy Virginia Jackson, who was born
12-26-1871, died ? in FL. I was told that Josiah Edward Rhea's father
was a doctor. Nancy Virginia Jackson was a school teacher who taught in
a one-room schoolhouse on Lookout Mountain, TN, moved to FL around 1922
and taught chemistry at a high school in Panama City, FL. Josiah and
Nancy had one other living child, Gwendolyn, who was also a teacher and
married Jessie Kervin from Apalachicola, FL, and had three children,
Joseph Kervin, Franklin Kervin, and Virginia Kervin Hartley.
