Am trying to backtrack another line. Have found the family on the 1850 Census
but on this particular page the place of birth was not listed for anyone on
that page. My gggrandfather is listed with his mothers, sisters and brother.
Apparently his father was dead by this time. Because of the age of the
youngest child, he apparently died in the ten years previous. I am trying to
find out the father's name. I am looking for names based on the son's names
but with some difficulty. I have not been able to do research at the
courthouse yet but plan to do so when the weather warms up. I thought I might
start with the 1840 census and see if there was a household at the same
location with someone with the same last name. I also plan to look at deed
and probate records for that time span. Does anyone have any suggestions that
my help in my research for this elusive family. The name is Green and many
times spelled Greene. In later census' some of the records show my gg
grandfather as being born in Pennsylvania. The 1850 records are for
Washington County, Ohio. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Connie Rhea
