Ken,

Ann Rhea who married Benjamin Glessner on December 12, 1858, was the
daughter of James and Mary (Gray) Rhea. She was born June 15, 1822.
James was the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Rhea) Rhea. On December 25,
1798, Robert married his first cousin, Elizabeth, the daughter of James
and Elizabeth (Meek) Rhea. As you know, Robert was the son of William
Rhea, Jr., who was the son of William and Elizabeth (Clark) Rhea.

All of the Rheas from Preble County listed in the Miami Valley, Ohio
Index are from two related families: Robert's, mentioned above, and Jehu
Stephens Rhea, Robert's second cousin. Jehu Stephens, who had nine
children, was the son of Robert and Mary (Stephens) Rhea, and this
Robert was the son of Robert and Sarah (Bingham) Rhea. Robert Rhea
arrived in Preble County about 1812-13, and Jehu Stephens Rhea, about
1816.

The marriage between Jane Rhea and George Fleming took place in Butler
County, which borders Preble County on the South. None of the names of
the women and of the men they married is familiar to me: Eliza,
Elizabeth, Jane, and Julia Ann.
