I have copies of most of the above wills. Here is the abstracts which I
made for these.

Not a will but estate records:
26 Aug 1799. Henry County, VA., Wills/Estates Book 2, page 4. Inventory
of the estate of Benjamin Rea recorded. Appraisers: John Wash, Bery
Harrison, and Sanford Reamey.

Not a will but estate records:
7 Mar 1763. Amherst Co., VA., Will Book 1, pgs 14-16. Bond of Elizabeth
Rea, Ambrose Jones, and Gilbert Hays for the sum of 300 pounds.
Elizabeth Rea is the administratrix of the estate of Fargus Rea,
deceased. Signed Eliz. Rea (her mark), Ambrose Jones, and Gilbert Hay.

2 May 1763. Amherst Co., VA., Estate Book 1, pgs 18-19. Inventory of
Fergus Ray’s Personal Estate. Inventory taken by Philip Davis, James
Jones, and Henry Franklyn on 22 Apr 1763. Recorded in Court on 2 May
1763.

11 May 1749. Virginia County Court Records, Deed & Will Abstracts of
Albemarle County, Virginia, 1748-1752, Albemarle County Deeds & Wills No.
1, May 1748 - 21 September 1752, edited & published by Ruth & Sam
Sparacie, 1990, pgs 38-39. pp. 65-67. This indenture made this Eleventh
day of May in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Forty nine
Between Fergus Rea of Parish of St. Anns & County of Albemarle of one
part and Alexander Henderson of County of Augusta of other part
Witnesseth that Fergus Rea for sum of Sixty pounds current money of
Virginia hath sold unto Alexander Henderson his heirs one certain parcel
of land being on both side of the River Rockfish in Parish of Saint Anns
in Albemarle County the same containing Two hundred & thirty seven acres
being part of a great tract of land granted to John Chiswell of Hanover
County Gent. and by him sold to Fergus Rea of County of Albemarle &
bounded beginning at a red Oak thence North West to a red Oak saplin
thence South West to a Hicory saplin thence South to a white Oak thence
North East to the beginning all houses orchards gardens & profits to same
beloning To have and to hold to said Alexander Henderson his heirs and
assigns forever. In Witness whereof Fergus Rea hath set his hand and
seal this Eleventh day of May MDCCXLIX 1749. Signed Fergus Rea.
Albemarle Sct. May Court MDCCXLIX. This Deed was presented into Court
and by Fergus Rea acknowledged to be his act & deed and on motion of said
Henderson ordered to be recorded. Elizabeth, Wife of the said Fergus
Rea, having been first privately examined relinquished her Right of dower
to the granted lands and premises.

14 Aug 1764. Amherst County Probate Records, Will Book 1, pgs 49-55.
Will of John Ray. Heirs: sons, James and William - land lying on Pedlar
River adjoining James Smith’s Line containing 125 acres and also an entry
of 100 acres adjoining the said land to be equally divided between them
when son James come to perfect age. Also when wife is safely delivered
of the child she is now with if it be a boy, I order my sons James and
William to pay him the sum of 10 pounds each when he comes of perfect age
in lieu of his part of me land and if it be a girl, I order that they
shall pay unto her the sum of 5 pounds each likewise. Wife and children
to live upon his lands as long as she remains single, but if she marries
she is to have her 1/3 part and the rest divided. Brother, William Ray -
an entry of land containing 100 acres lying on Honey Run (which was
entered by my father, Fergus Ray. I do likewise constitute and appoint
my beloved brothers, William Ray and James Bunting, executors of this my
last will and testament. Signed John Ray. Wits: Richard Whitehall,
Phillip Davis, Charles Tyler. Probated on 5 Nov 1746. Presented by
William Ray and proved by the oaths of Phillip Davis and Richard
Whitehall. Securities: James Brown and Francis Moore. Bond 150 pounds.
Inventory of the Goods and Chattels of John Ray now deceased.
Appraisers: Phillip Davis, James Jones, and James Murry. Inventory and
appraisement returned to Court on 4 Feb 1765. A memorandum of the
remainder of Fergus Ray’s Estate which could not be had when the rest was
appraised. 27 Oct 1764. Philip Davis, Henry Franklin, James Jones. At
a Court continued and held for Amherst County at the Court House the
sixth day of November 1764. This memorandum of part of the estate of
Fergus Ray’s deceased was returned and to be added to the Inventory &
ordered to be recorded. (Note: Appears that John Ray must have been the
executor/administrator of Fergus Ray and had not completed the settlement
prior to his death.)

25 Nov 1747. Virginia County Court Records, Deed & Will Abstracts of
Albemarle County, Virginia, 1748-1752, Albemarle County Deeds & Wills No.
1, May 1748 - 21 September 1752, edited & published by Ruth & Sam
Sparacie, 1990, pgs 46-47. pp 109-111. This indenture made the xxvii
day of November in the Twenty first year of the Reign of our sovereign
Lord George the second &c. and in year of our Lord One thousand seven
hundred and Forty seven Between John Chiswell of Hanover County Gent. of
one part and Forgus Rea of County of Albemarle of other part. Witnesseth
that John Chiswell for sum of Twelve pounds Ten Shillings current money
of Virginia paid hath granted unto Fargus Reay a certain parcel of land
lying on both sides Rockfish River in County of Albemarle containing Two
hundred and thirty seven acres being part of a greater tract granted by
order of Counsill to said John Chiswell and by him sold to Fargus Reay
his heirs contained in these following bounds Begining at pointers in
James Martins lines thence North East, thence North West to a red Oak
sapling, thence South West to a Hickory saplin, thence South West to a
white Oak, thence North East to the place where it first began Together
with all woods ways waters and all other profits belonging To have and to
hold to the only proper use and behoof of sd Fargus Rea his heirs and
assigns forever. In Witness whereof the parties have set their hands and
seals. Signed Jno. Chiswell. Wits: David Martin, James Armor, Daniel
Lattemor. Albemarle County May Court MDCCXLVIII. This Deed with the
Receipt was presented in Court and proved by the oath of James Armor one
of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be continued for further proof.
Albemarle Sct. Jun Court 1749. This Deed with the Receipt was further
proved by the oath of David Martin one of the Witnesses thereto & ordered
to be continued for further proof. Albemarle August Court 1749. John
Chiswell Gent. presented in Court and acknowledged this Deed with the
Receipt to Furgas Rea and the same was ordered to be recorded. Test John
Fleming D. Cl Cur. (NOTE: Although this last section does not appear to
be part of this deed, it seems to be attached to it for some reason.)
Albemarle August Court 1749. This Deed with the livery of seizin and
Receipt from Alexander Trent to John Cocke was presented in Court, proved
by the Oaths of Thomas Turpin and Hugh Magarrough witnesses thereto, and
ordered to be continued for further proof. Albemarle November Court
1749. This Deed was further proved by the Oath of Matthias Ayres witness
thereto and ordered to be recorded.

Joseph and Francis Ray, but have not found Francis Rea of 1718:
10 Jun 1721. Surry County, VA., Deeds and Wills, 1715-1730, page 342.
Nuncupative Will of Joseph Ray. Heirs: Brother, Francis Ray and to
Harry Floyd, all estate in the hands of Thomas Farmer. Signed Joseph (Z)
Kenebrew. Wits., William Kenebrew, William Barton, and Elizabeth Partin.
Probated on 21 Jun 1721 at Southwark.

28 Sep 1728. Francis Wray. Brunswick Co., VA. 208 acres on the east
side of Jeneto Creek. Patents 14, 1728-32, pg 63.

29 Apr 1738. Surry County, Virginia, Wills, Estate Accounts and
Inventories, 1730-1800, by Lyndon H. Hart, III, 1983, pg 25. Page 142:
Francis Ray of Southwark Parish, Surry. Will. Date: 29 Apr 1738. Rec.:
19 Mar 1739. William Rawlings, next of kin, granted administration; the
widow refused. Son: William (not 18). Wife: Affiah. Child in esse.
Witnesses: William Cooper, Francis Ray and Benjamin Reeks. Surry Co.,
VA., Deeds and Wills, 1738-1754, page 142. Will of Francis Ray of
Southwark Parish. Heirs: son, William, 50 acres of land where I now
live on north side of blackwater but the use to wife, Affiah, during
widowhood or after marriage if she lives on it til son, William, comes of
age;otherwise to be rented and produce to son, William. Also one
buckanear gun to son, William. To unborn child if a son, a set of iron
wedges containing 3 wedges marked FR but if child is a girl then the
wedges to go to son, William. Remaining estate to be equally divided
between wife and 2 children and 2 children should go free at 18 years.
Executrix, wife, Affiah. Signed Fra. (FR) Ray (sealed with a wafer(?)).
Wits., Wm. Cooper, Fra. Ray, Benjn Reeks. Probated on 19 Mar 1739. The
within mentioned will of Francis Ray deceased was presented in Court by
William Rawlings next of kin to the said deceased (the Executrix within
named having refused the Executorship) who made Oath thereto & gave Bond
with Security according to Law and being proved by the Oaths of Francis
Ray & William Cooper. Witnesses thereto the same is ordered to be
recorded & is recorded by John Allen Co. Cura.

A Thomas close to 1658 but may not be the one you reference:
25 Aug 1654. York County, Virginia, Deeds, Orders, Wills, Etc., (1633-57
& 1691-1694), page 293. Will of Thomas Ray. Probated 24 Jan 1655. To
son, Thomas Ray - all my land at New Poquoson and MopJack Bay and if he
has no heirs then to son, Christmas Ray, and if he has no heirs then to
Mary Ray and her heirs. To son, Thomas, one Indian girl and 2 cows and
calves, one Turkey rugg, one pott and one postle. Also Thomas Ray shall
have all the increase of these cows when he comes of age. All the rest
of the estate to wife and son, Christmas Ray, and daughter, Mary Ray to
be equally divided after debts are paid. A hogshead of tobacco for a
sermon to be preached in the New Poquoson Church some Sabbath Day and
also to godson, Thomas Coleman, one cow calf. To daughter, Ann
Skipworth, one cow calf to be delivered within two months after my
decease. Overseers of will to be Thomas Kirby, Peter Starkey and Henry
Freeman. Signed Thomas ® Ray. Wits., Henry Freeman, Thos Kirby, and
Peter Starkey.

Thomas Rea, 1696:
3 Jul 1696. Deeds, Orders, Wills Book #10 (1694-1697), pg 44. Will of
Thomas Rea of Charles Parish of York County. Probated 24 Nov 1696.
Executor, Robert Pesrod(?). Whole estate to son-in-law, Robert Pesrod,
and his heirs, which is now in Virginia both of hoggs and cattle and
horses and debts that is due to me in Virginia and elsewhere or lands if
any happen to fall to me by right of heirship in Ireland or elsewhere.
