Dear Mr. Foley,
I am so glad to find you online. I cut out the notice in the Genealogical
Helper for your book on the Rhea family, but I did not how to get in contact
with you. I tried the CD ROM of telephone and addresses in America, but got
several Ed Foleys and
did not which was you.
Anyway...
My problem is, we have been researching for some time a Charles Rhea (b.
c1793) who married Clarissa Roberts, 17 June 1817, in Logan Co. Kentucky, and
a Betsy Rhea (b. 1795) who married 1) Jeptha Windsor, 27 November 1817, in
Logan Co. Kentucky and
2) Benjamin Riney, 1836, in Adams Co. Illinois.
Charles Rhea is in the Logan Co. KY estate settlements: Charles Rhea, equity
box 43, case no. 1040... "in case of Bank of KY, vs. heirs of Charles Rhea and
John Roberts, guardian of infant children, the following are listed as heirs:
Clarissa Rhea,
widow; Martha, Albert, Oscar, Elmery, Olander, Wesley Rhea, all underage
children. Filed 8 April 1836. Died intestate.
As for Elizabeth Rhea Windsor Riney, she died about 1885 in Knox Co. Missouri.
I am not sure if Elizabeth Rhea and Charles are related, but it would seem
that they may be brother and sister.
I was hoping you might have some info on these people and who they might
connect to. I would love to hear from you in this regard and hope you will
reply.
I thank-you,
Jim Windsor
