Hi Ann,
I am very interested in the Turk Line esp. Thomas Carter Turk and His
children. His first Dau. Sarah A. Turk b. 1848 in KY appears in Lawrence
Co., MO in 1860 census [12 yrs. old]. During the civil war their house
was burned and they fled MO. to AR. In 1862 he fought in the Battle of
Pea Ridge in Elkhorn Tavern, AR. After the war they moved to Hillsboro,
Hill Co., TX. Hope these are the same Turks.
