I think not as my Rea line has always been spelled REA as far back as I can
research. My Thomas Jefferson was born in MIss as was all his brothers and
sisters. His grandfather was John W. Rea born in South Carolina. Thanks for
your note but I don't think there is a connecton unles it's further back which
is always possible.

Hi! We are probably not related, but my grandfather was named Thomas
Jefferson Ray, born in Pennsylvania, lived most of his life in Marietta, Ohio.
Married Anna Sarah Bernhardt Cisler (born in Ohio). Anna was born 12/11/1865,
died 11/22/1922 in Tulsa, OK. Thomas was born 11/16/1858, died 7/26/1931 in
Muskogee,OK.

Thomas Jefferson Ray's father was also named Thomas J. Ray. Don't know what
that "J" stood for, nor who he married. I have been told that he came from
Ireland, and that the family name at one time was "McRay", later shortened.

Do you suppose there could be a connection?
