While browsing through some books at the library here in town (Baker City,
OR) I came across a name in my family tree.......Lewis Rhea who was the son
of Jesse RHEA and Margaret BLAIR. He married Mary "Eliza" Humphreys from
Monroe Co., TN and they came out here to Oregon. I don't know the details
on that but here is some information on Lewis RHEA and also HUMPHREYS:

No. 5260 HUMPHREYS, Thomas M., Linn Co; b. Last of Sept or 1 Oct 1800, "do
not recollect County", Tenn; Arr. Ore. 19 Sep 1853; SC 26 Mar 1854; m. Jane
2 June 1825, Monroe Co., Tenn. by 15 Nov 1873 Jane Humphreys was dec. &
Thomas M. Humphreys had sold his wife's part of the c to J. R. Thorp, who
was also dec. by 1873. J. T. Thorp was administrator of J. R. Thorp's
estate. Aff: Wm M. Gilcarist, LEWIS RHEA, Francis Berry, John (X)
McCullough, H. Bryant.
