Subject: [RHEA-L] TURK-RHEA Reunion
Date: Mon, 14 Sep 1998 21:39:57 -0500

The TURK family Reunion will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, 1998 at the
Post Oak Community Center, 17 miles northeast of Paris, Lamar county, TX
off Hwy. 82 on Farm Road 1502.

The reunion will begin about 10:00 am. A covered dish luncheon will be
served at noon. The reunion, which began as a gathering of the
descendants of Caleb L. TURK, is now open to all TURKs.

Caleb L. TURK lived in Monroe, Meigs and McMinn counties in Tennessee in
the mid 1800s. This reunion is now open to all descendants of the
immigrant ancestor, Robert TURK who came to America from Ireland, and
settled in Virginia about 1736.

Also welcome are the descendants of Robert and Sarah RHEA, who lived in
Augusta county, VA in the mid 1700s. They were parents of Ann RHEA
TURK, wife of Thomas TURK, Jr., and ancestors of the majority of those
attending the reunions.

Telephone or written inquiries are welcome regarding those who may
possibly be connected to these TURK or RHEA families.

If the reader has TURK or RHEA ancestors, but is not sure if they are of
these families, or for more details, please contact Mr. Johnie Lee, Rt.
2, Detroit, TX 75436 or phone (903) 982-5309.
