Have been 'lurking' for some time and was hoping that the following
might be of interest to some list members. It is a copy of a query
that I recently placed in North Irish Roots (Journal of the North of
Ireland Family History Society). Anyone interested in Irish Reas?

Seeking descendants / ancestors of : Joseph REA and Rachel IRWIN,
whose family in Magheralin, Co. Down, Northern Ireland, included --
Robert b. 1818, Thomas b. 1823, and Joseph b. 1829. Thomas married
Jane ARCHER c1834-1900 and subsequently emigrated to Dumbarton,
Scotland, where one son David Archer Rea married Margaret Ann DALE
(1866-1947) born Toome, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland. (At some time
following emigration to Scotland the surname began to be spelt Rae.)
