Gr-gr-gr-granddaughter of James Holloway and Martha Ann Owen, his wife.
Thomas Edwards, 1st, was a member of the Assembly when Charleston was
threatened and he joined the army to defend the colony. His name is
inscribed on the tablet in the capitol grounds in Columbia to
commemorate those who served. At Greenville, where he died in 1832, is
inscribed on his tombstone, Soldier, Patriot, and Statesman. He was
born in Culpeper County, Va.

Robert Rhea (1763-1850) served several enlistments as private, first
under Capt. Isaac Campbell, Colonel Crockett's regiment, enlisting from
Montgomery County, Va., 1778. He was born in Mecklinburg County, N. C.;
died in Blount County, Tenn.
James Holloway served as second lieutenant in the 12th Virginia
regiment, 1777, and was retired, 1778. He was born in Virginia; died in
Jessamine County, Ky., 1829.
