I'm working on a friend's line. Currently she has most of the info that
I've found, so I will try to do this from memory. She is looking for
Charlotte Sefronia/Sephronia RHEA (b.c.1846, I think in NC) m. Larkin
Powell BLACKBURN (b.1836). I know we posted a query to GenForum on her
Rhea. Most of the family in this line lived in NC (Ashe, Wilkes, & Watauga
Co.) and TN (Carter & Johnson Co.).

I think we saw someplace that her family might have come from MD. Went
through the entire chapter on the Rhea's in Notable Southern Families, and
she wasn't shown there. On a recent trip to the Nat'l Archives my friend
found her in the 1850 census (I don't know which state - poss. NC), living
with a couple ages 53 and 63 whose last name was TRIPLETT. We're not sure
how they figure in yet. The possibility that she may have been an orphan
is being looked into - right now we just have a lot of unanswered questions
on this lady. Hope someone can help.

Thanks,
Marissa <> :)
