Date: Sat, 1 Aug 1998 12:28:38 -0500

I recently posted a similar query, but I have new names and county now, so
thought I'd repost:

Seeking (tidbits to tons) information and descendants of J.D. RAY (aka
Danuel, Daniel, or David Ray) b. ca 1825 and Sarah ROBINS (or ROBBINS) b.
ca 1829, who lived in Wood Co. TX from about 1850 until after the Civil
War, when they moved to Travis Co. Many descendants also lived in
Williamson and Lampasas Co., TX. Especially interested in J.D. Ray's
parents & Civil War service (Blue OR Gray), Sarah Robins' Cherokee
ancestry, and what became of Martha Jane and Charity after they married.

Children of J.D. RAY and Sarah ROBINS:
1) Wm. Riley RAY, b. 1846 AL, d. 1912 Travis Co. TX. m. 1. Leona ______.
m. 2. Nannie ATEN.
2) Mary Angelina RAY, b. 1851, East TX, d. 1936 in Williamson Co. TX,
m. Joseph S.B. SMITH;
3) Ben L. RAY, b. 1853 East TX, d. 1933 Williamson Co., TX; m. Electa
A. STEARNS;

6) Lemuel Franklin RAY, b. 1861 East TX, d. 1936 Travis Co., TX, m. Lou
Emily DEARING;
7) Lady Margaret Ray, b. 1864, d. 1954, m. 1. Will MUNN, m. 2. Posey

Martha Ray, b. ~1805 NC lived with this family in Wood Co. TX in 1860. Was
she J.D.'s mother or a sister?
