Still have a few questions:
Does anyone have any mention of a wife by the name of Anderson for Rev
Joseph? Is there anyway that the facts on Eliz. McClain could not be
complete?
Is it possible for Rev. Joseph to have married again before 1752 time
period?

The following entry in my granddad diary from 1946 still bugs me. It is so
accurate for most of the facts confirmed by Robert and Pat on this list.
What few errors I have found in the past with other lines have been easily
understood. This on really bothers me. The one sentence about Octorarah PA
and his wife's brother, Joseph Anderson, is very clearly written
Granddads research starts on Rev Joseph "from
Donegal Ireland, He reached Philadelphia in 1769. synod of New York and
Philadelphia. In spring 1770 removed his family to Octorarah PA and stayed
at Joseph Anderson, Mrs. Rhea's brother to 1772. He took residence at Tamey
town Md. He left Maryland for North Holston Sept 1775. He purchased a
farm
on Beaver Creek Holston. He died 1777 and was buried in Maryland"
Why was Elizabeth buried in Weavers Cemetery not in MD.
In 1752 when he married Eliz. he was 37. Could he not have had another wife
before Eliz. that died before he moved here? Man men married much younger
then.
Any ideas on how to resolve the Anderson brother statement would be greatly
appreciated.
