This is my first writing to this list.
My Ray line is from Patsy Ray b. in the late 1700's d.
before 1844 in Union Dist., SC. She was the daughter of
William Ray d. 1844 in Union Dist., SC and Margaret
Alexander. William was son of Ambrose Ray d. 1799 in Union
Dist., SC.
Patsy mar. James Johnson and they had daughters, Irene
mar. Noah Barnett, Nancy mar. Gist Prince and 2nd Henry
Burnett, and Paulina who mar. William Burnett.
William and Margaret also had Alexander Ray mar. Margaret
Martin, Mariah Ray mar. William Bobo, Elizabeth Ray mar. ?
Nix, Jane Ray mar. ? Murphy, and Lydia Ray mar. ? Harrison.
Most of this info came from the estate papers of William
Ray in Union Co. Probate, Union Co., SC. And some from an
unknown source of microfilmed genealogical family sheets
prepared years ago by an unknown researcher. I am very
interested in finding the origins of this info. and any
other people who are also researching this family.
