My g-g-g-grandfather, William Wray/Wreay was b. in Va. 1786. His oldest son
(that I know of) was Isaac C. Wray/Ray (wife's name Mary A.)
moved to Ala.(was there in 1840) then to Henderson Co., Texas (about 1851)
and died in 1857. Second son was Harmon, (married Martha Jackson in 1840 in
Carroll Co., Georgia.) moved to Harrellson Co. Ga. and died in the 1860's
(probably a casualty of the Civil War). Third son was Peter, (married
Elizabeth Payne, 1840 Carroll Co., Georgia) moved to Jefferson Co.,Ala. and
died in Atlanta, Georgia hospital from injuries due to Civil War. I believe
Martha (Patsy) Wray that married Sciota Morris in 1836 in Patrick Co., Va. to
be his oldest daughter. The other daughter that I'm a direct descendant of is
Naomi that married William Davis in Carroll Co. Georgia in 1848. The youngest
son, Alfred was born in Georgia in 1846. All of the other children were born
in Va. so I've determined that they left Va. between 1835-1838 because they
were in Carroll Co. Ga. by 1840. William and Susannah(b. Ky 1800) and Alfred
left Ga. and came to Henderson Co., Texas around the late 1840's to 1851. I
do not know who his first wife was, or when he married Susannah.

If any of this looks familiar to anyone, I would love to hear from you.
