I received some very interesting info. on my Ray line of Ohio Co., VA. It
includes several references that my William Ray (1782 - 1866) was descended
from John Ray, the naturalist. Does anyone know who this John Ray is?

It also indicates that the family is English, while William was born in
Ireland.
