Does anyone know the parentage of Spicy Ray listed below. Her husband's
name is actually Samuel Hall, born 1793 in Scott Co., Va son of Reuben Hall
and Nancy Branham-Smith.
Spicy and Sam settled in the Jack's Creek area of Floyd Co., KY. There
they raised several children and grandchildren. (When their daughter
Nancy's husband Granville Elliott died during the Civil War, they raised her
children, including my great-grandfather, and won a custody battle brought
by Granville's mother.)
I have found Spicy's maiden name as Rhea on trancsciptions of various
documents.
