William Powell MEEK 67 died in a mobile home. Ibis Welby DEVORE, 78, of
Metcalfe Co died when his house collapsed. Elmer Lee RUNYON, 47 of Glasgow,
a wall in a barn fell on him. MEEKS's body was found 100 feet away from
where the mobile home used to stand.
Hwys 249, 68-80 and 90 were closed along with a section of Cumberland
Parkway from the toll plaza at Bon Ayr to Columbia because of downed power
lines. The damage started near the Red Cross community, across the
Roseville Road to Hwy 90, the Hollow Road and into Metcalfe Co near Wisdom,
Randolph and Cave Ridge. Several people were missing, all have been found.
The roof was gone from Eastern Elementary - a boiler room chimney fell on
the roof, destroyed ccafeteria/gym and 5 mobile units were either destroyed
or damaged.
Photos of the wreckage of a house of Wilma GRAMLIN - her car had been
totaled in BG - got home to find her house gone. Story of Helen HURT - lost
everything but a few photes when a tornado touched down at 5760 Glasgow
Road in edmonton - she, husband Tommy, dau and granddaughter made it to the
basement. Mary Maggie SHELTON and Albert WADE when a house exploded on Hwy
90 west, propane fire. One has burns over 60% of their body and the other
70%.

Estimated that 54 structures destroyed.
