Reports are coming in now. A tornado touched down on Hollow Road off the
Burkesville road damaging 11 houses. One of them belonged to the daughter
and her husband of my next door neighbor who had gone there for safety.
Their house is gone - a large brick and their van is sitting in the middle
of what used to be their living room. Our neighbor has heart problems - her
purse and medicine are all gone and no one can get to them right now.

A shelter has been set up at our YMCA. Mayor Honeycutt has declared us a
disaster area thru the governor's office and the National Guard has been
activated to help get people out. There are many injuries and it appears
there are fatalities.

Power has been restored to most of Glasgow and the rural phones are working
periodically.

That's all for now - it's calm right now - still monitoring Nashville (when
they're on the air), Bowling Green and all points beyond. Sorry for the
non-genealogical posts but know many of you have ties here.

another update. Sorry this is not genealogical but , its necessary, as
people have families in this area, and they need to know what's going on
