Subject: [RHEA-L] John Rhea of Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey
Date: Thu, 16 Apr 1998 18:22:30 EDT
Dear Pat and all Rhea-L subscribers: At last I have found a connection.
Thanks to the research of Charla in New Jersey, my family line has been
extended several generations. I'm so excited that I must share with all of
you. My John R. Rhea was born June 30, 1762. He was the son of John Rhea and
Mary Smith Rhea, daughter of Samuel Smith and Mary Harrison. The children of
John and Mary Smith Rhea are listed with their birthdays and baptism dates.
Also, the date of death of this fourth great grandfather is listed as April
16, 1773---coincidental this information arrived on my computer April 16,
1998. This John Rhea (my fourth great grandfather) was the son of David Rhea
of Monmouth County, NJ. I have much information on my John R. Rhea (3rd.
great grandfather) after he came to Clinton, East Feliciana Parish, LA.
Many of his 13 children (including my 2nd great grandmother Ann J. Rhea
Harvey) share family names. One of his sons was David Smith Rhea, another
George Harrison Rhea, and a daughter was Mary P. Rhea. If anyone would like
information on my Louisiana line, I will gladly share. Let me say again, this
Rhea-L List, Pat, Charla, and all the others who have helped me out, THANKS A
MILLION! Also, to which Rhea Team do I belong, or has one been created?
