Subject: [RHEA-L] List of Contributors to the building of Tinkling Spring Meeting House, Aug. Va.
Date: Thu, 16 Apr 1998 11:14:14 EDT
A close examination of this list of contributors, as compared with the list of
members who built the Tinkling Spring log meeting house a quarter of a century
earlier, reveals a large turn-over in membership. Absent form this list..some
conspicuously so because of their prominence in earlier days... are the
following family names:
Breckenridge, Cowan, Craig, Cunningham, Denniston, Edmiston, Gamble, Gay,
Holme, King, Lewis, McCord, Maxwell, Miller, Patterson, Patton, Preston,
Robinson and Scott.
New family names are of special interest to this period., namely--
Allen, Blackwood, Bratton, Coalter, Cloyd, Estill, Huttson, Jamison, Kinkead,
Love, Marshall, Patrick, Pilson, Rutledge, Van Lear and Williamson.
This is on page 178 The Tinkling Spring: Headwater of Freedom
