Mrs. Summers,
Attacking another's beliefs and faith has no place on geneology lists.
You obviously have a lot of pent up anger and resentments toward your
family members who happen to be Mormon's. Christians who consider
themselves true Christians are not to be found degrading other
Christians. I happen to know that Jesus Christ is the center of the
Mormon religion. You cannot possibly understand the concept of Baptism
for the dead, as it was practiced in the Bible as well. If you knelt in
earnest to our Lord in prayer, asking if these things were true, with
you heart not hardened towards others, you would be given your own
witness of its truthfulness. Mormons do believe in Hell, and no, they
do not believe "everyone else" will go to hell. You need to confront
your anger with your family whom you feel does not help you with the
care you provide your husband. You also need to keep in mind that
although the Mormon religion is centered around Christ, you will not
find a perfect person of ANY religion, including yourself. So look not
to blame a church, but look to others, knowing they are human just like
you, and praise God for those religions who really are out there with
good intentions to represent God and Christ in the best way they know
how, even be it far from in a perfect way. Easter is more celebrated
than Christmas in the Mormon church, as Christ was resurrected at
Easter, which is the reason Mormon's don't wear crosses. The Mormon
religion is centered around his resurrection, knowing that he died for
our sins but not in dwelling on his death. Thank you for listening and
I pray you have a change of heart as we ALL celebrate this Easter
TOGETHER around the world as Christians in UNITY.
