Subject: [RHEA-L] William & Margt. Ray of Ohio Co., VA 1807

For several years I have been looking for my gt-grandmother's (Maud Ray)
ancestors. I didn't have much except her name and that she married Robert
Sattler of Cincinnati, OH ca 1880, and died before 1900.

Yesterday, I learned that she descends from Wm. & Margt. Ray who were in Ohio
Co, VA when their son, Joseph was born on 25 NOV 1807. I checked my current
atlas and there is no Ohio Co. in VA, but there is one in WV. Back in 1807
was this all VA?

Does this William & Margt. Ray sound familiar to anyone? I'm guessing from
Joseph's birth date that William was born ca 1777 and that Margaret was born
ca 1780.
