I am searching for the ancestors of Ruth E. Rhea (Ray). She was b.10 Apr 1824
in TN. d. 11 Jan 1907 in Lawrence Co., MO. She married William Petty b. 22
June 1833 in TN. I found on FTM marriage index a Wm. Petty and Ruth Rhea of
Cannon Co., TN m.11 Nov 1874. This fits, but I would like to know where they
were born for sure and their parents names. Laura A. was their first child b.
1849; Amanda, B. 1851; Wm. G. b. 1852; Eliza G., b. 1854; Sue, b. 1857;
Florence; Dora; and Bud. These children could have been born in TN. They
were in Law. Co., Mo. by 1866 when my great-grandmother Mary Beatrice Petty
White was born 2 May 1866.
I would greatly appreciate any info on Ruth E. Rhea (Ray) [its been listed
both ways] and her ancestors. She was a midwife for several births in Law.
