I do not have any info to help you unless you can go back in time a little
further. Some of my Rea line had descendants in early Calif. For Now I do
have some suggestions you may have already tried: Send for the birth and
death certificate for Thomas in the appropriate county. I can send you
that info of where to write if you don't have it. Do you know the birth
and death dates for his parents. Their death certificates would show their
parents names. Thomas should be found in the 1880 US census of Santa Clara
with his family giving you lots more information. Then go to 1870 and
back. I know these are all basics, but I can not tell how much you know or
what you have tried. Feel free to write to me. I live in Bay Area CA and
we have mucho Calif. and general genealogy resources here.
