<< There are references to a Bird S. Rhea(Ray, Worth, Tennessee Cousins) p.
549:
Putnam County: Bird S. Rhea, DeKalb Co. Commissioner on the Reorganization
Act to reorganize and hold election for location of county seat. He was the
grandson of Mrs. John Sevier (wife of Gov. Sevier). >>
In reference to this: Archibald Rhea son of Robert Rhea, Sr. and Sarah
Bingham m. Margaret?
Archibald Rhea's property adjoined his father's on Cripple Creek. He and his
brother, John fought in Lord Dunmore's War in 1774 under Lt. Jehu Stephens.
Archibald died in Knox Co. Tenn. in 1793. In 1809 his widow, Margaret, and
sons, Archibald and Robert, signed a deed for property in Wythe County that he
had sold with clear title to William Love in 1785. The deed was witnessed by
John Sevier, (Gen.) James White, and Joseph Love.
Children of Archibald and Margaret - only those pertaining to Rob Rhea's
message were 1. Archibald Rhea, ?-January 25, 1833, married 1st Ann
Humphreys October 26, 1798, no issue, 2nd Catherine Sevier, Campbell),
February 10, 1803, daughter of John Sevier, first governor of Tennessee,
Which one was Bird S. Rhea?
James White Rhea, John Sevier Rhea, Ann Eliza Rhea, Mary Rhea and Jane Rhea.
Looks like without any research, Bird S. Rhea might have been John Sevier
Rhea.
