If she was born circa 1840-1850 in PA and her father is a David Ray, you
can look at the the 1850 Census Index for PA for all David Rays (also
alternate spellings, Rae, Rea, Rhea, Wray). Then go to each David listed
and check the names of children. Copy every detail and notice neighbors
names, etc. Your Elizabeth born in that time period should be quite
findable if you are lucky. Once you find an Elizabeth of the right age
period you will have a county. One needs a county to look for marriage
records, etc. I hope this is not too basic. I can not tell how much you
have already done.
