John Rhea (1776-1839) had two daughters who married Smiths.

The older one Frances Glenn Rhea (ca. 1810/12-1831) married Henry Smith (
-ca. 1882/4) 26 August 1827. They are the parents of Frances and Rufus Smith
named as grandchildren in John Rhea's will. (Smith family bible microfilm #
0898383, LDS Family History Center) Frances married James H. Jones sometime
between 1847 and 1851.

The younger daughter Mary M. B. Smith (1813/1814-after 1860) married Alfred
Smith on September 2 1841, Lincoln County, TN. They were the parents of
Jasper R., Tranquilla, James F., Mary E., Robert J. and Jackson Smith.
(1850 Census, Subdivision #2, dwelling #244, Lincoln County, TN, will of
James T. Jackson dated 27 February 1860, proven 31 March 1860, Lincoln Co.,
TN)
