Does anyone have any sure information on this family.

Pat one of my stumbling blocks.

Do you have this?

From "Chronicles of Scotch-Irish Settlement in Viginia" p. 38-- 26h
June, 1786. Thomas Meek's will --To wife, Agnes, home plantation; to
son, Daniel, plantation on which he now lives; to son, Samuel; to four
sons and daughters, viz: John and Samuel Meek, Elizabeth Reah, Mary
Vachub, Martha Reah, Daniel Meek; James Reah's wife. Executors, John
Meek, James Reah, Teste: Thomas Hughart, Samuel Craig, Alex LStuart.
Proved, January Court, 1788, by =Hughart, and Stewart. Executors
qualify.

Looks like your family. My Reas were also in Augusta Co. for a while
then to Mecklenberg Co., NC. Robert, John David and Andrew are early
males members names in my line, but also Thomas, Samuel and William.
Before Augusta Co. I have traced Rea families from Kent Co., DE, to
Chester Co., PA, then to Lancaster and Cumberland (Franklin Co.) PA. I
have found a connection of the early Reas of Lancaster Co. PA to the
Joshua and Elizabeth Lewis family of Wilmington DE which gives a clue
to a relationship of my Rea line in Mecklenberg Co., NC with the
Lancaster Co. Reas via the fact that James Way was my ancestor's next
door neighbor and friend in Meck. Co while James Way's sister, Phoebe
Way married Robert Rea, son of John of Lancaster Co.

I would like to keep in touch with you. Your Reas and mine might be
part of a larger PA family that split there. I now know that my Rea
line is Scottish rather than Scotch-Irish and I have them back to the
birth of a first son in Kent Co. DE.
