I am researching the Rhea line. I have an old typed document with
Matthew and Catherine Myers as the parents and under William Preston
Rhea is Henry's name with a comment that "grandpa would have been 52
when Henry was born". Every record that I have indicates that Matthew
and Catherine had ten kids, yet I understand the Rheas tried to go for
eleven kids in the family? Census records should show Henry but the
Census records were burned in 90 and he might have been on there? I
havent seen any web lines to show Henry anywhere. Has anyone run
across this Texas Henry Tolbert Rhea in their research?
Henry was Titus County Judge from 1892-1894 and state rep from 94-96 in
Texas. His picture hangs in the state capital bldg and there is a
letter written by the Deomcratic caucus asking him to run for Governor.
He declined for personal reasons. I have over a hundred decendents
recorded but I need a few more pieces of the puzzle before I submit
them.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mike
