Carol, ( and the rest of you),
I first heard this story about 22 years ago, as a newlywed. Don't
know how it started, or if there's any truth to it. Actually, both
versions (see the reply) of the recipe look pretty darn good! I plan
to try both of them this weekend on my off days. Carol thanks for
a great cookie recipe.
Yes, our list is dedicated to genealory, and researching our
families. This indicates that our families, both past and present
are important to us. Little things like baking cookies will be great
memories for future generations to pass down. We can all tend to get
totally asorbed with the past (genealogy's curse), and neglect the
present.
Some of my most prized posessions, genealogy wise, are my
great-grandmother's recipe collection. The recipes, are good...but those
handwritten examples of her life are priceless.
Don't give Carol a hard time. Bake some cookies!
