Does ANYONE in this line descend from John RAY/REA of Warren
Co., TN, as recorded in TN COUSINS?

I am looking for the reported descendants of this JOHN, who was
supposedly of NC and removed to Warren Co., TN, and had very
many descendants, according to this book (in which, I admit,
I have found errors, but I am hoping...) One of this John's sons
reportedly was MOSES RAY, who settled in AL.

I am also looking for the family of MOSES WRAY who d. 1802,
VA. I think one of his sons, either Ezekial or Elijah RAY/WRAY/
RHEA/RHAE (the names appear in Jackson and White Cos., TN
in the very early 1800's) might have been the father, PERHAPS of my
own ELIJAH RHAE/RAY/RHEA. I have a tremendous number of
documents regarding this MOSES WRAY and what I think are his sons,
(as recorded in his will) but I have not seen a posting on this list that I think
links to him and to one of his sons that I suspect MIGHT be my ancestor.

The 1803 Personal Tax List of Washington Co., AL, lists a family under
Head of Household Sanders RAY (unknown if he is related.)

The 1816 Clarke Co., MS Territory, lists households of Charles RAY, Sr.,
Charles RAY, Jr., Henry RAY, and John RAY (unknown if any are related,
though my Elijah was in Clarke Co., MS, in 1840.)

Andy P. & Mary SELLERS MARTIN of Clarke and Choctaw
and Washington Cos., AL. Elijah and Ann Martin RHAE had
children and grandchildren:

(1) Robert Andrew RHAE/RAY b. 1832, Washington Co., AL; d. 1910,
Carmichael, Clarke Co., MS; m. Susan WRIGHT, dau. of
Jesse Austin WRIGHT and Elizabeth GUINN of Madison, Sumter,
and Choctaw Cos., AL.
Robert and Susan had children, all born Clarke Co., MS, and
Choctaw Co., AL :
(1) Nancy "Nannie" RAY, b. 1857; m. 1883, L.M.M.
BUFFINGTON; she d. unk, poss. AR to TX.
(2) Mary Jane "Jane" RAY, b. 1860; m. Albert CONN;

(2) Lucy CONN; (3) Fred CONN; (4) Bertha CONN;
(5) Jeanette CONN; (6) Richard CONN.
(3) Floyd Walker RAY, b. 1866; d. 1940, Mobile, AL;
m. Sallie C. GUINN, dau. of Francis Henry "Frank"
GUINN & Mary Ann WRIGHT; their children were:
(1) Hattie Bell RAY, b. 1892; m. Alonzo KELLY; (2)
Robert Frank RAY, b. 1893, reportedly never married;
(3) Mary E. RAY, b. 1894; m. unk.; (4) William Floyd

(4) George Smith RAY, b. 1868; d. 1964, Saraland, Mobile

Mary Ann WRIGHT (dau. of David W. & Rebecca GUINN
WRIGHT.) George and Mary had children: (1) Ruby
Rebecca RAY (m. Sam McMillian/McMillion); (2) Roy
Andrew RAY (m. Cornella "Nell" SANDERS, dau. of
Balis SANDERS & Emma KELLY); (3) Easter Hixie
RAY (m. Harry Wesley BUSH, son of Calvin & Eliza

(7) Vaughn Vegaria (Vegara, Vaqara) RAY, b. 1881; m.
Margaret Addie "Maggie" BRYANT; b. 1885; dau. of
John J. BRYANT and Edwina POPE.
(2) Martha Ann RAY, b. 1834 (unknown if she married; living, 1860,
with her parents.)
(3) Mary Jane RAY, b. 1837 (m. 1849, Silas Anderson WRIGHT,
b. 1827, Washington Co., AL; d. 1912, Choctaw Co., AL; son
of James D. & Nancy CLARDY WRIGHT of SC & AL. Their
children were: [1] Ruben WRIGHT ((m. unk.)); [2] Silas Anderson
WRIGHT, Jr. ((m. Rena -----)).
(4) Thomas RAY, b. 1839 (living with his parents in 1860 in
Choctaw Co., AL, and his occupation was Planter).

These lines descend from the WRIGHT, FITZGERALD,
CUNNINGHAM, CLARDY, HALL & GUINN lines of SC
and NC.

I hope someone out there recognizes some of my line.
