Hi Folks,

I saw the John M. Ray name in a Roll Call and looked him up, probably not
the same one, but perhaps it will help someone else.

23 June 1840 Sanders Riley held a sale of some farm and household items,
belonging to the estate of James Allison. Buyers at the sale were JOHN M.
RAY, CHARLES RAY, William Moore, Joseph Barlow, James Crosset, John H.
Barlow, Margaret Porterfield, Adam Dickson, Samuel Madden, Samuel McBroom
and Elizabeth Allison listed as buying 8 items. Record from Orange Co.
Estate Records 1754-1844

Ref: THE ALLISON FAMILY OF ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. by Clara Hunt Miller, p 7

Hope this helps someone, if not now, down the road.

Happy Hunting,
Cara Franklin
