Do not fret those of you who have not gone back this far. We are coming
forward a little at a time, and will get to you soon.

Fortunately we have gotten so much info on the Ann Rhea and John Lockridge
family, and I will be getting alot more soon to share. Thanks to one of our
Team RESEARCHERS that opened this path for us.

Lets tackle another child of William and Elizabeth-- Archibald and Margaret
Campbell Rhea.

Let me list this info from Robert Perry Rhea's article for you to mull
over. We do not know for sure when he was born, or the exact date of his
death. and also a few other questions. Margaret Campbell is listed as his
wife, going on the premise that John Campbell was one of the people who was
named to be guardians of her children when Archibald died. Evidentally the
only connection. Also there seems to be a question on her son John as to when
he was really born. Also do we know anything about these Campbell's that
seemed to be involved with the RHEA family in the colonies. Think if we knew
something about them, could help.

Here is the article, and he also lists him as the first child.

Archibald Rhea and Margaret had three young sons, William Rhea, Hugh Rhea and
John Rhea when he died in 1773. His will was written November 1, 1773, and
recorded March 15, 1774. A family bible kept by his brother, Robert indicates
that he died on October 5, 1773, an obvious error. He named his wife,
Margaret, and his "Uncle Archibald" executors. Dying when he did and having
thre young sons would place his birth no later than 1747-48, and the marriage
of his parents no later than 1746-47, assuming that he was the oldest child.
It has been stated that Margaret was a Campbell, this based in part by the
naming of John Campbell, possibly her brother, and William Rhea as guardians
to her sons. her son, William, must have died young, for he did not receive a
division of land, nor was he listed among the heirs of William Sr. Hugh
married Rebecca Smiley, daughter of Walter Smiley, on June 2, 1796. By 1804
they were living in Tenn.John married her sister, Mary Smiley, on January 2,
1801.

Now from a descendant of Archibald Rhea is this group sheet Of course there
are mistakes. Lets help and correct them.
