Ann/Anna Rhea married John Lockridge. I have her birth date an approx of abt.
1752
John's will recorded June 24, 1799, names seven children: Andrew Lockridge,
William Lockridge, John Lockridge, James Lockridge, Betsy Lockridge, Sarah
Lockridge, and Ann Lockridge.
Ann's name is mention many times in court documents, such as her father's
will, the suit that John Rhea, son of William brought against the heirs. and
John Lockridge's will.
Here is the will.
Ref. #157- Augusta Co., VA Will Book9,8-9. Will of John Lockridge, husband of
Ann Rhea, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Clark) Rhea of Augusta and Bath
Counties, Virginia. Dated Dec. 4, 1798, proved June 24, 1799. Signed
"Lockridge" but spelled "Louchridge" throughout the text. he named his wife,
Anna; sons, Andrew, Wiliam, John, and James; daughters, Betsy, Sarah and
Anna. After Anna's death, his land to be divided among his eldest sons,
Andrew, William, and John. The tract that went to Andrew was purchased in
1821 by Robert Rhea, then living in Hopkins, County, Kentucky, and presumed
to be the son of Ann's brother, Robert. after Robert's marriage, he sold the
land to John Lockridge in 1830(Ref. 171). John Lockridge Sr. was the son of
Andrw Lockridge who died in 1791(Augusta co., VA Will Book 7, 353).
