Hello,
I would appreciate any information about the families of my
5gr-grandparents, Alexander Mitchell (1762-1856) and Nancy Rhea
(1773-1847). According to the information I have, they came to America on
a ship with Irish immigrants from County Cork near Dublin when they were
small children. The immigrants settled in PA for a number of years.
Alexander and Mary were married, settled in VA, and then then to Fleming
and Bath Counties in Kentucky. They had a large family. (I have the names
of some of their descendants if anyone is interested.)
When the government gave land grants west of Indianapolis, and some of the
sons went there, Alexander and Mary went along and died there. They, alog
with several of their descendants are buried in Abner's Creek Cemetery near
Danville, Hendricks Co., IN.
Regards,
Elizabeth Smith
