I am looking for the Reah(Rhea) family in Londonderry, Ireland. This was
sent to me, and I know we have a few Rea on the list, so maybe it will be
useful to you.

Pat

Pat,

I saw your request for the Scots Colonists book - lookups. I don't have that
book and am not researching the REA/REAH's but found one tidbit that may help
you.

I have a copy of the Report From Ulster Ireland, 1979 by Marianne Herold
McNair concerning the McConaghy (and variants)/ Bovaird, Campbell, Duncan,
Hannah, McCloud/McLeod, McKinley, Stunkard, and Walker's. It contains one
reference to the surname REA:

Protestant Householder Census of 1740
Londonderry County, County, Coleraine Barony:

"No McConagheys in Beleaghroom and Coleraine and Dunboe and Dessertoghill
Par. Other names include: Fulton, Finla, Dunlop, Heslet, Hirman, Church,
Walker, Tagert, Rea, Crawford, Erwin, McAnarrey and Whiteside."

Perhaps if you could get someone to check the Prostestant Householder Census
for REA in these areas, you could get more info.

Hope that helps.

Tami
