Johannes Schnepp b. 1695, Alsace (France) m. Anna Haber begat
Lorentz b. 1723 who became Laurence Snapp. Son immigrated with parents in
1733 on the ship "Samuel". m. Margaret. Settled in Va and then to Sullivan
Co. TN about 1795. He begat

1) John Snapp b 1769 who m. Mary Keller b.1767. They begat
Laurence Snapp b.1790 m. Lucinda Tipton his first cousin.
2) Elizabeth Snapp b. 1771 m. Col John Tipton they begat Lucinda Tipton
above.
3) Laurence Snapp b.1774 m. Mary Blackmore (he owned the ferry on Snapps
Ferry Road - Sullivan Co. TN)
4) Samuel Snapp b. 1781 m. Diana Pemberton
5) Margaret Snapp b. 1799 m. Dr. Elkana Roberts Dulaney.
5) Five other children.

All were closely associated with the Rheas as they were all among the
pioneers and leading families in Sullivan Co. TN living in the community
surrounding Blountville. I have not been able to confirm who were the
parents of Elizabeth Snapp b.1795 who married James Rhea son of Rev. Joseph
Rhea. However, their daughter Margaret also married a Snapp cousin, John
Pemberton Snapp, son of Samuel Snapp b. 1781.
